A new Toyota Camry XSE race car for the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) was unveiled Monday, and will compete in the NCS in 2024. It replaces the Toyota Camry TRD Next Gen, which finished the last two competitive seasons with 18 wins and 25 poles.

Together, Toyota, Toyota Racing Development, U.S.A. (TRD), and Calty Design worked to ensure its body closely resembles the newly-revealed 2025 Toyota Camry XSE. Teams racing Toyotas in the Cup Series in 2024 are Joe Gibbs Racing, 23 XI Racing and Legacy Motor Club.

“The 2024 Camry XSE race car will properly highlight Toyota’s attention to detail as has been showcased in the new street version Toyota Camry. We are excited to bring this car to the race track,” said Paul Doleshal, group manager of motorsports, Toyota Motor North America.

With the Camry in the NCS, the GR Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), and the Tundra TRD Pro in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS), Toyota is the only manufacturer in NASCAR to have three nameplates across three national series.

“The foundation of Toyota’s presence in NASCAR is our commitment to continuous improvement on and off the race track,” said David Wilson, president of TRD.

The season begins with the Busch Light Clash at the L.A. Coliseum on Feb. 4.

Ford announced earlier this month that the Mustang Dark Horse will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024. After winning the Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series manufacturer titles in 2023, Chevrolet is expected to race their Camaro ZL1 through 2024.
