Volkswagen has revealed that it is developing new battery technology that will give its electric vehicles a much longer driving range than today’s e-Golf. VW Chairman Martin Winterkorn recently confirmed that the new technology will bring “a quantum leap for the electric car.”
VW is currently researching the new super-battery technology in Silicon Valley, California that will be cheaper and smaller than today’s unit. “An electric Volkswagen that can travel 300km (186 miles) on electricity is in sight.”
