Why did Tesla decide to kill the Model S Plaid Plus? According to Musk, there’s “no need” for it, since the Plaid is “just so good.”
The Plus was expected to have 1,100 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of less than 2 seconds. It also had a driving range of 520 miles and a price tag of $149,990. Now the Plaid is the most expensive Model S with its $118,490 price tag. The Plaid’s specs are still not bad either with 1,020 hp, a 1.99 second 0-60 mph time and a 390 mile range.
