Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has confirmed when more versions of the Tesla Model 3 will be available. Tesla decided to limit the amount of options for the Model 3’s launch to streamline production, but by early next year, buyers will be able to get the Tesla Model 3 dual motor version, which will also include an air suspension system.
Elon Musk made the announcement in response to a Twitter question about when the Model 3 will be available with an air suspension. He simply replied “In about six months or so. Linked to dual motor config.”
The air suspension makes it easy to increasing the ground clearance for traveling over speed bumps or up a driveway, plus it also has aerodynamic benefits, since it can lower the vehicle on the highway. The air suspension can raise the Model S 1.7-inches and the Model X 2.9-inches.
