Porsche has officially announced some of the juicy specs for the Taycan electric car and as we expected the top version of the Taycan will be powered by two electric motors that generate a total 600 horsepower. The Porsche Taycan will also be able to travel over 310 miles.
The Porsche Taycan will be powered by two permanently synchronous electric motors, with one powering the front wheels and the second powering the rear. The electric motors will accelerate the Taycan from 0-62 mph in under 3.5 seconds and from 0-124 mph in under 12 seconds.
Although Porsche has confirmed that the Taycan will be able to travel over 310 miles (500km) on a single charge, it hasn’t announced which testing cycle it used to come up with that number, hopefully its the more accurate Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). When the battery is depleted, the Taycan’s fast charging capability means that it only takes 15 minutes to add 248 miles of range.
