Now that Porsche has announced that the production version of the electric Mission E will be badged as the Taycan, we’ve been wondering when Porsche will confirm the Mission E Cross Turismo concept. Porsche hasn’t revealed what it will be called, but according to the latest sources, the production version of the Mission E Cross Turismo will arrive by late 2021.

Suppliers revealed to Automobile Magazine that the Mission E Cross Turismo concept will arrive in about three years, even though Porsche has yet to make the official confirmation. “Yes, we are indeed working on the E Cross with volume production in mind,” a Porsche project leader revealed. “But so far, there has not been an official go-ahead.”

Before you start to compare the Mission E Cross Turismo to the Tesla Model X, Porsche’s second electric car is more of a high riding wagon than a real SUV. At 55.9 inches tall, the Mission E Cross Turismo is closer to the Panamera than the Macan or Cayenne SUVs.
