Porsche Cajun to Get Twin Turbocharged Diesel from the Audi Q5

2010_audi_q5_new_fr3.jpgAudi is currently working on a new 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 diesel that will see its first use in a facelifted Q5, early next year. The 3.0L V6 puts out 309 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque. The upcoming Porsche Cajun is also going to be built off the same platform as the Q5 and will also get the new diesel according to Autocar.

Audi’s head of engine development, Axel Eisner states that most of Audi’s models will get the new diesel engine, from the A3 all the way up to the A8 and Q7. Audi is also working on a new twin-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel.

The Porsche Cajun isn’t expected until the 2014 model year.
