Nissan has announced the updates to the 2018 Nissan Rogue, which gets a few trim changes, but the biggest update is the availability of the ProPILOT Assist technology. The ProPILOT Assist technology makes it easier for drivers to drive on the highway, since it assists with the steering, braking and acceleration.

The ProPILOT Assist system is being offered on several 2018 Nissan models. Right now it only has the ability to work during single lane highway driving, but within the next two years the technology will be able to take over during multi-lane highway driving. ProPILOT Assist is available on the 2018 Rogue SL trim level as part of the Platinum Package.

Other updates to the 2018 Rogue include the addition of NissanConnect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all trim levels and a standard motion-activated liftgate added to SV trim. The SL trim level adds standard Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. If you like the “blacked out” look, the Midnight Edition Package adds new black front and rear fascia accents, black rear license plate finisher, black V-motion grille, and black emblems. There are also two new exterior colors: Scarlet Ember and Midnight Pine.

The Nissan Rogue is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft or torque, that’s mated to a CVT transmission. Front-wheel drive models are rated at 26 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, while all-wheel drive models are rated at 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

Pricing for the 2018 Nissan Rogue starts at $25,655 with the destination fees included.
