The next-generation Tesla Roadster will have a range over 400 miles and will be able to reach 0-60 mph in under four seconds.
The next-generation Tesla Roadster is still a few years away, but Tesla boss George Blankenship has already provided some details about what we can expect. Blakenship told Autocar that he expects the next Tela Roadster to have over a 200 mile driving range since EV technology continues to evolve. The next Tesla Roadster will also reach 0-60 mph in under four seconds.
“The original roadster was a proof-of-concept car,” he said. “We did an electric car with over a 200-mile range and 0-60mph in under four seconds. Back then, no one believed it was possible. And then we did the Model S saloon, with 0-60mph in 4.4sec and a 300-mile range.”
The next Tesla Roadster is still a ways off, since Tesla’s next model will be the Model X crossover, which will then be followed by a new four-door that will go head to head with the BMW 3 Series.
