According to Auto Car, Aston Martin has already received 1,500 order for the awesome DBS supercar. Aston Martin originally planned on only building 300 of the cars per year, so now the automaker is trying to figure out if they can produce more.
The increased demand for the DBS that is expected to start around $250,000 could affect future Aston Martin vehicles, such as the Rapide sedan. Aston Martin plans on producing 1000-2000 Rapides per year when the four-door arrives in 2009 or 2010. The DBS could hurt these plans and force the automaker to have to outsource the Rapide’s production. It could also delay the Vanquish replacement.
