We still have to wait until the 2018 Nissan Leaf debuts on September 5 or September 6 if you’re in Japan, to see the new electric car, but Nissan keeps teasing us with little previews. Today Nissan has revealed that the 2018 Nissan Leaf will revolutionize one-pedal driving with its new e-Pedal system.

Electric cars, like the Chevy Bolt and BMW i3 are great because the driver can drive the EV with just the accelerator most of the time, making it easier and less taxing to drive. But the Nissan Leaf is going to up the ante with its new e-Pedal system that allows drivers to bring the Leaf to a complete stop even on hills, stay in position, and resume driving instantly.

Nissan estimates that drivers will be able to cover 90% of their driving needs with the e-Pedal.
