Last week Vicki Poponi, Honda’s assistant vice president of product planning, was quoted as saying that there would be a new Honda Ridgeline for the 2011 model year, but now it looks like that claim is false.
Honda has released a statement about the Ridgeline, “”American Honda apologizes if there was inaccurate information shared at the Chicago Auto Show about the Honda Ridgeline pickup. I can confirm that there will be no significant change to the Ridgeline through the 2011 model year.”
So it looks like the Ridgeline will continue to be one of the oldest vehicles in Honda’s lineup. Honda hopefully has a plan for the pickup, since its sales have dropped by 50 percent.
