Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser of the next-generation 2020 CLA, which is going to debut next month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It may seem a bit odd that Mercedes-Benz has chosen CES to debut the 2020 CLA instead of the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, which is just a few weeks later, but the show will be used to showcase all the new tech in the CLA. The 2020 CLA will be offered with the brand’s new MBUX infotainment system.

The first teaser previews the 2020 CLA’s coupe-like roofline, which gives it a sleeker look than the new A-Class sedan. Even with the more coupe-like exterior, the CLA will be powered by the same powertrain options as the A-Class sedan, which includes the 188-hp 2.0L four-cylinder. Hotter CLA 35 and CLA 45 options will also be available.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA will debut on January 8.
