Mercedes-AMG has released a few teaser photos of the upcoming GT R, which is going to debut next week at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The GT R will be positioned above the current GT as a more track-ready model with a more aggressive body kit, lower weight and an upgraded V8. Mercedes-AMG hasn’t released any performance specs, but it’s rumored that the GT R will be powered by a 4.0L bi-turbo V8 with around 550 to 570 horsepower and a torque figure around 516 lb-ft.

Following its debut next week, the Mercedes-AMG GT R will go on sale sometime in 2017.
