Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to introduce a new G-Class, but to send the current model off, Mercedes-AMG is introducing the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition.
The Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition is powered by a 630 horsepower AMG 6.0L V12 that turns the G-Class into a beast. It can reach 0-62 mph in only 5.3 seconds onto an electronically limited top speed of 143 mph.
On the outside, the G65 Final Edition gets 21-inch bronze alloy wheels, silver brake calipers and AMG Sport trim strips on the sides. The exterior also gets matte bronze accents. Inside there are designo black nappa leather seats with seat side bolsters in a carbon-fiber look and topstitching in light brown. Lastly, the interior is finished with carbon-fiber trim elements with decorative stitching in bronze, milled Edition lettering in the grab handle plus floor mats with leather edging in light brown.
Only 65 Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition models will be produced. The U.S. will get 30 of these. Pricing in Europe starts at 310,233 euros ($365,623 US).
Regarding the new G-Class, it will be the first ground up redesign of the iconic SUV since its introduction. Mercedes-Benz hasn’t announced when it will debut, but it’s expected to debut sometime in 2018 and maybe even at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
