McLaren has unveiled the 765LT Spider, the droptop version of the coupe. Just like the coupe, production of the Spider is limited to 765 units.
The 765LT’s carbon retractable hardtop can be raised or lowered in only 11 seconds, which is quicker than the 675LT Spider. The top can also be operated at speeds up to 31 mph. It also gets a power rear window that can be lowered even when the top is up. Lastly McLaren says that the 765LT Spider is 108 pounds heavier than the coupe.
The Spider is powered by the M840T twin-turbocharged V8 with 755 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, that’s mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds, which is the same as the coupe.
