The Mazda CX-5 continues to be Mazda’s most popular vehicle and now it’s time for a facelift. Mazda has unveiled the 2022 CX-5, which has received some small styling changes.

2022 Mazda CX-5

The biggest update is at the front where the 2022 CX-5 now has a wider lower air intake, a new grille with a new pattern and redesigned headlights with L-shaped LED lighting. The Grand Touring Reserve model has been replaced by the new 2.5 Turbo. The top spec 2.5 Turbo Signature also now has color-matched trim on the exterior. Do we like the color-matched fenders instead of the black cladding on other models, not really.

Inside the CX-5’s interior is now even more luxurious with its real woodgrain and Nappa leather. The seats have been redesigned and there’s a new drive select switch, called Mi-Drive.

Mazda also says that it’s tweaked the six-speed automatic transmission to give it smoother acceleration and the CX-5 now has a different suspension. All 2022 CX-5 models come standard with all-wheel drive.
