Maserati to Use Twin-Turbo Version of Chrysler's Pentastar V6?

Maserati currently makes do with hand-me-down versions of Ferrari engines, which has been fine for Maserati fans. According to sources the 4.2-liter and 4.7-liter V8 Ferrari engines are not going to be used for the next-generation GranTurismo and Quattroporte.

What will replace the sweet sounding Ferrari engines? A twin-turbocharged version of Chrysler’s Pentastar V6. Eeek! Sources that spoke with Inside Line claim that the next Maserati’s will ditch the V8 for a twin-turbocharged 3.0L version of the Chrysler engine.
