Lucid has announced that there will be two versions of the Air Dream Edition: the Dream Edition Range and Dream Edition Performance. Both models are priced at $169,000, but buyers have a choice between extra range or increased performance.

Lucid Air

The Dream Performance is powered by two electric motors that generate a combined 1,111 horsepower, which can accelerate the Lucid Air from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The Dream Range has slightly less power at 933 hp, since it is focused more on driving range, but it also accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds. The EPA has not announced the EPA ranges for the two versions, but Lucid predicts that the Range version will have a 517 mile range, while the Performance will be slightly lower at 475 miles.

The Air Grand Touring version is also expected to have a 500-plus mile range.

This means that if the EPA estimates are the same as Lucid’s both the Performance and Range versions will beat the Tesla Model S Long Range with its 405 mile range.

Deliveries of the Air Dream Edition will begin later this year. Now for the bad news, the Dream Edition is already sold out, which means buyers will now have to wait for the Air Grand Touring model, which will be introduced next. The Grand Touring starts at $131,500. After that there’s the Touring model that starts at $87,500 and the Pure that starts at $69,900.
