To celebrate the Continental’s 80th birthday, Lincoln recently unveiled the 2019 Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition, which is inspired by the Continental from the 1960s. With its suicide doors, the Continental Coach Door Edition is easily the most expensive Continental available with its price tag that’s over $110,000, but that didn’t matter, since it’s already sold out.
Lincoln only planned to build just 80 examples of the Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition, so it’s not too surprising that it’s already sold out. Next month Lincoln plans to notify the lucky buyers that they will be getting their special Continental this summer.
Well if you were hoping to get one, there’s still hope. Lincoln has confirmed that it will offer the unique Continental for the 2020 model year as well, but it stopped short of providing any other details. When Lincoln unveiled the Continental Coach Door Edition it did state that it would be offered for the 2020 model year as well, but we still don’t know if it will stick to only producing 80 cars for the second run.
