Lexus may have finally released a three-row crossover with the debut of the 2018 Lexus RX L, but the brand is already thinking bigger with the LF-1 crossover concept that is going to debut next month in Detroit. The LF-1 is being described as a “crossover with no limits.”

Lexus does offer the LX flagship SUV, but for buyers looking for something a bit softer, Lexus may soon add a new flagship crossover to its lineup that would better compete with other luxury crossovers. Lexus has released a teaser photo of the LF-1 concept, which has a sloping roofline that’s more coupe-like than a traditional crossover.

The LF-1 concept was designed by the CALTY design studio in Southern California. According to Lexus, the LF-1 concept reflects the next genre in luxury crossover vehicles and redefines the boundaries of luxury.

We’ll have more details next month when the Lexus LF-1 concept debuts at the Detroit Auto Show.
