Lexus recently introduced the redesigned 2022 NX and there was one big change at the rear, the traditional Lexus badge has been replaced by Lexus lettering spelled out. If you like to see the full name spread across the back of the NX, then you’ll be happy to hear that all Lexus models will soon get the update.

The 2022 Lexus LX is the second model to get the change and according to Brain Bolain, Lexus’ global head of marketing the change signifies a big change for Lexus. “We need some way to signify that change is coming to Lexus, and this may seem like a dumb way, but it catches your eye,” Bolain stated in an interview with MotorTrend.

The 2023 RZ, the brand’s new electric crossover, also gets the Lexus name spelled out across its tailgate.

Lexus is also revamping its infotainment system, which was first launched in the new NX. The new touchscreen is a big improvement over the previous system. Instead of waiting for it to be added to all new models, Lexus plans to add it to all of its vehicles soon.” There’s a very quick window, something like 30 months or so, but we’re not waiting for major changes. We’re doing it fast,” he stated.
