Land Rover is reportedly thinking about adding a new smaller model to its lineup that would be smaller than the current Evoque. Gerry McGovern recently told Automotive News, “Certainly, I think we can go smaller. “In a world focusing on sustainability you could argue that smaller and lighter is the way to go.”
Land Rover isn’t the only luxury automaker that is thinking about downsizing. Audi design boss Stefan Sielaff also confirmed that the automaker has been thinking about adding a Q1 SUV to its lineup that would be smaller than the Q3.

Sales of the Range Rover Evoque have exceeded expectations with Land Rover selling more than 90,000 units since it was released last year, which could also mean that a new smaller model could also be a hit.

It’s also been reported that the success of the Evoque may also lead to a bigger model to fill the gap between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport models.
