Land Rover has announced that it is working on a new high performance version of the Defender, called the Defender OCTA. The new Defender OCTA is slated to be the most powerful Defender yet thanks to its twin-turbocharged V8.

The Defender OCTA will also get 6D dynamic air suspension, which is the first time that the system will be offered on a Defender. Land Rover says that the 6D Dynamics technology “features an innovative pitch and roll control system designed to enable Defender OCTA to maintain a near-level stance during acceleration, braking and cornering on-road.”

The Defender OCTA gets an encircled diamond graphic that’s been applied to the interior and exterior.

Land Rover has not announced when it will reveal the Defender OCTA, but it will happen later this year.
