We’ve been waiting to hear what Kia has planned for the 2021 Kia Stinger and now it’s released the first details and some photos. At first glance you might not notice the updates, but there are a few on the outside, while the interior gets some upgraded tech features and materials.

On the outside the 2021 Stinger has new LED headlights and daytime running lights. Kia says that the new headlights “appear darker and sleeker with the lights out, while giving the car a more high-tech light signature, with sharp slashes of light angled slightly towards the front of the car.” At the rear the taillights have been redesigned with 10 individual LED lights for the turn signals. The LED lights are also arranged in a grid pattern to “mimic the appearance of a checkered flag.”

There are also new exhaust tips if you opt for the V6 engine and 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels.

In the US, a new Black Package is available that adds 19-inch matte black lightweight wheels, a new rear wing, and blacked out mirror caps and side fender trim.

Inside the biggest change is a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Depending on which version you choose, the dashboard and doors get new contrast stitching and the center console is available with aluminum or carbon fiber-style trim. The interior also has a new mood lighting system, which lets drivers choose from up to 64 colors.

Kia hasn’t announced if there are any upgrades under the hood, but it says that more details will be revealed soon. The 2021 Kia Stinger will go on sale first in Korea in the third quarter of 2020, which will then be followed by other markets.
