The 2020 Kia Soul has received the highest safety rating possible from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) – Top Safety Pick+.
The 2020 Soul received the highest “good” rating in the six tests, which includes the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. To receive the highest rating from the IIHS, a vehicle must also receive an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and a good headlight rating.
The 2020 Soul is available with two optional front crash prevention systems and both systems earned superior ratings for front crash prevention. The vehicle must also receive a good headlight rating, which only applies to Soul models equipped with the optional LED projector headlights. The Soul’s standard halogen headlights were rated as poor.
