After more than a decade on the market, the Kia Soul is coming to an end. Kia has confirmed that production of the Soul will officially wrap up in October 2025, marking the end of one of the brand’s most recognizable and quirky nameplates.

2024 Kia Soul

The Kia Soul first hit the streets in 2010, instantly standing out with its boxy design, playful personality, and affordable price. It was a breakout success, helping attract younger buyers and giving Kia a fresh, youthful image at the time. The Soul even became a pop culture icon thanks to its memorable “hamster” ad campaigns.

Over the years, the Soul evolved through three generations, but the most recent version never quite recaptured the buzz of the original.

Eric Watson, Vice President of Sales at Kia America, acknowledged the Soul’s role in shaping the brand: “The Soul was one of the cornerstones in Kia gaining a foothold in the United States… this one-of-a-kind vehicle – and the marketing supporting it – helped Kia move to where it resides today.”

For fans of the iconic boxy hatchback, there’s still time to grab one. Kia says a few thousand 2025 Soul models remain on dealer lots across the U.S.
