Kia has unveiled the fully electric Niro EV, which has a driving range of 236 miles with the largest battery, while a smaller battery option gives the Niro EV a 149 mile range. The Niro EV was originally previewed as a concept earlier this year, but the styling of the production version is more closely aligned to the Niro Hybrid and PHEV models.
The biggest styling difference between the Niro EV and the other versions, is at the front, which gets a unique grille, daytime running lights in the shape of an arrowhead, and modified side sills. At the rear the changes are smaller with a redesigned bumper.
Buyers will be able to choose either a 64 kWh or 39.2 kWh battery. Kia hasn’t revealed much else about the Niro EV, including when it will arrive in the U.S. Right now it’s saying that it has over 5,000 orders.
