We’re still waiting for Jeep to finally bring back the Grand Wagoneer and even though it was supposed to be back in Jeep’s lineup by now, it’s still likely a few years away. Either way we do have some good news to share, since it looks like Jeep is cooking up a Jeep Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk.

According to a document from ZF, a transmission supplier, the upcoming Jeep Grand Wagoneer is going to use the company’s eight speed automatic transmission. The document, which was uncovered by Road & Track also reveals that Jeep is working on a high performance version of the Grand Wagoneer, which will get the “Trackhawk” badge.

Jeep already offers a 707-hp Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, so it will be interesting to see what Jeep has planned for the Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk. According to the document, the Trackhawk version will be powered by a 6.2L V8 with 719 horsepower.

We’ll have to wait and see if the document is accurate, since Jeep has made no mentions about a Hellcat-powered Grand Wagoneer. Jeep did reconfirm last month that the Wagoneer/ Grand Wagoneer is part of its five year plan, so hopefully it will arrive before 2022.
