Jeep has announced the updates to the 2021 Jeep Gladiator, which largely carries over into the new model year since it only debuted for the 2020 model year. But don’t worry there are still some big updates, like a new diesel engine and some new trim levels.

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is available with the 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine, which is the same engine that you can get in the Wrangler. It generates 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine is rated at 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined.

Full-time four-wheel drive is now available across the lineup.  The Sport, Overland and Mojave models feature a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case with full-time four-wheel drive that delivers a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, while the Gladiator Rubicon gets a Rock-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case with a 4:1 low-range gear ratio.

There are also two new models, the 80th Anniversary Edition and the Willys model. The Gladiator 80th Anniversary Edition features 18-inch wheels with Granite Crystal finish, Neutral Grey Metallic exterior accents, 8.4-inch touchscreen, berber floor mats and exterior badging. The Gladiator Willys features a limited-slip rear differential, rock rails and aggressive 32-inch Mud-Terrain tires.

The Gladiator Overland also gets a new TrailCam forward-facing off-road camera that can be accessed through the available Off-road Pages. Lastly the Gladiator Sport now has optional LED headlights and fog lights.
