Jaguar has decided to slim down the F-Type’s lineup by deleting the four- and six-cylinder engines from the 2022 F-Type. This means that the F-Type will only be available with V8 engines, with two models to choose from, the P450 and the R.
The 2022 F-Type P450 is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 444 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can choose either the coupe or convertible with either rear- or all-wheel drive. Jaguar says that the P450 will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a 177 mph top speed.
The F-Type R is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 575 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The F-Type R can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph.
With the deletion of the four- and six-cylinder models, the base price for the 2022 F-Type is now more expensive, since it starts at $71,450 for the P450 Coupe with rear-wheel drive, including destination. The F-Type R starts at $104,350.
