The Jaguar E-Pace may have only debuted a year ago, but Jaguar has already unveiled a list of additions for the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace. The big news is that the 2019 E-Pace is now available with an adaptive suspension, new ‘self-learning’ Smart Settings technology and a new 197-hp engine.

The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace arrives with new Smart Settings that debuted on the electric I-Pace. The self-learning technology learns the driver’s habits and anticipates their needs to make their life easier. How does it work? The Jaguar E-Pace recognizes the driver, based on both a key fob and smartphone Bluetooth signal. The vehicle will then adjust the seat, climate and infotainment system based on the driver’s normal preference.

The algorithms will also tailor settings based on time, location, weather and behavior patterns – for example, pre-heating the steering wheel and seats on a cold day, or changing the media source on a particular day of the week or time of day. Up to eight profiles can be set up on the Jaguar E-Pace. Smart Settings is part of the Connect Pro Pack, which also consists of a 4G Wi-Fi Hotspot, Pro Services and Navigation Pro.

The new Adaptive Dynamics suspension will improve the ride comfort in the 2019 Jaguar E-Pace. The adaptive suspension uses continuously variable damper technology with a triple-tube design and externally mounted hydraulic valves. The suspension monitors vehicle movements every 2 milliseconds and calculates the required damping force every 10 milliseconds to respond instantly to the driver’s inputs and road surface changes. Drivers can select Normal and Dynamic settings for the Adaptive Dampers.

The new 197-hp 2.0L engine has been added to the engine lineup that includes the 246-hp and 296-hp 2.0L engines. The 197-hp engine reaches 60 mph in 7.7 seconds.
