Infiniti has unveiled the Infiniti Vision Qe concept, a preview of what’s to come from the brand’s first all-electric sedan.

The Infiniti Vision Qe concept is a fastback sedan designed by Infiniti’s global design team and inspired by three specific Japanese philosophies. Those include “Kabuku,” the sense of the extraordinary; “Sho,” the sense of speed and movement; and the concept of “Sui,” which focuses on beautiful detailing.

Infiniti is focusing on lighting to impart its new EVs with a sense of brand identity. The front of the Infiniti Vision Qe concept is dominated by distinct lighting features, including a full-width illuminated “digital piano key” lighting signature connecting the headlights, an illuminated Infiniti logo, and a new illuminated interpretation of Infiniti’s double-arched grille. Around back, we find a full-width piano key taillight signature integrated into the rear spoiler, mimicking what we see in the front. All exterior signature lighting is rendered in a bright gold tone. Animated light sequences dance across these myriad lighted surfaces as the driver approaches with their key.

The Infiniti Vision Qe concept is painted in Shadow Blue, a bespoke color with a deep blue base and subtle gold highlights that shift depending on light, shadow, and perspective. Infiniti says the colors blue and gold are the anchor colors of the brand’s refreshed identity. The coils of an electric motor inspired the Infiniti Vision Qe concept’s wheels, which look rather similar to those found on the new Rolls-Royce Spectre, and are also rendered in Infiniti’s new signature blue and gold as well.

Infiniti did not share photos or information about the interior of the Infiniti Vision Qe concept.

The Infiniti Vision Qe concept will be displayed at Infiniti’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, beginning next month.
