Ford recently announced that it is teaming up with EV startup Rivian to create a new Lincoln electric vehicle and now Hyundai has announced that it is partnering with Canoo to develop an electric vehicle platform based on Canoo’s proprietary skateboard design for that will be used for future Hyundai and Kia EVs.

Canoo’s platform will be used for for a range of electrified vehicles for both brands that will range from small-sized EVs to Purpose Built Vehicles (PBV).

Canoo, the Los Angeles based startup will release its first EV in 2021.
