If you aren’t part of the “Save the Manuals” crowd, you’ll be happy with this bit of news. Hyundai has announced that the fun 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is available with a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The new eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission features manual and fully-automatic modes. there’s also an N Grin Shift mode that increases peak torque by seven percent from 260 pound-feet to 278 lb-ft. for up to 20 seconds. With the dual-clutch transmission, the Veloster N can reach 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds.

The 2021 Veloster N also now comes standard with the Performance Package, which means that you get the 275 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a limited slip differential, 19-inch alloy wheels and better brakes with larger front and rear rotors.

The 2021 Veloster N also gets new N Light Sport Seats that are wrapped in cloth and leatherette. The new seats are 4.4 pounds lighter than the previous seats and have an illuminated N logo on the upper side of the backrest. Inside there’s also a standard eight-inch display for the audio and navigation system.

Lastly the Veloster N now comes standard with more driver assistance features, like Forward Collision-avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-traffic Collision Warning.

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N will go on sale in October.
