Hyundai has announced the pricing for the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT, which is priced at $20,235, including the destination fees. The new Elantra GT will be offered in standard and Sport trim levels, with the more powerful Sport model starting at $24,135.

The new Elantra GT is ready to go battle the latest compact hatchbacks, like the Mazda3, Honda Civic and VW Golf. The Elantra GT is actually classified by the EPA as a Large Car with its total 120 cubic feet of interior space and it also has more cargo room than the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Mazda3, Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Corolla iM.

The base Elantra GT is powered by a 161 horsepower 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Elantra GT Sport is a bit more fun with its 201 horsepower 1.6L Turbo that’s mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

The interior gets a standard 8-inch audio display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a rear view camera. Wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, an eight-inch navigation system and an Infinity premium audio system are available.

To keep you safe, Advanced Driver Assists are also available on Elantra GT Sport through Automatic Emergency Braking w/ Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Assist and Smart Cruise Control that features stop/start capability. A new Driver Attention Alert system analyzes driver inputs to determine attention level and provide both a visual and audible warning if it determines the driver’s attention level has become too low.
