Nissan has released the latest 2018 Nissan Leaf teaser, which now shows off a sketch of the new EV’s profile. The 2018 Leaf will now be lower with improved aerodynamics to make it more efficient – allowing drivers to travel farther on a single charge.
Nissan says that the new Leaf’s exterior design is inspired by airplane wings. Nissan’s engineers recreated the ideal shape for the new Leaf, enabling a symmetric air flow that helps it slice through the air. Since the new Leaf is lower to the ground it will also have better stability at high speeds and when it encounters strong crosswinds.
The 2018 Nissan Leaf will also feature a new e-Pedal system that will give drivers the ability to mainly only use the accelerator pedal. The Leaf’s new e-Pedal system will revolutionize one-pedal driving by being able bring the Leaf to a complete stop and resume driving instantly.
The new Leaf will debut on September 5.
