Hyundai’s newest $60,000 flagship sedan, the 2011 Equus has received the Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Equus received the highest rating “good” for front, side, rollover and rear crash protection. To receive the award a vehicle must receive the top rating in all tests and have electronic stability control, which is standard on the Equus.
The Equus joins Hyundai’s other Top Safety Picks: the Sonata, Genesis, Tucson and Santa Fe.
