Honda says that the SUV e: concept “is a concept model which indicates the direction of a future mass-production model of the Honda brand’s first EV to be introduced in China.” Compared to the retro-inspired Honda e, the SUV e: concept looks more futuristic with its slim LED headlights and crisp lines.

The SUV e: concept also showcases the next-generation Honda Sensing safety suite, which now has omnidirectional ADAS (advanced driver-assistive systems) with improved recognition, predication and decision-making performance. The system uses a wider front camera angle and 360-degree radar to detect vehicle peripheral environment more accurately.

The concept also debuts the next-generation Honda Connect, which features an AI assistant interface, smartphone link and wireless updates.

Honda is also unveiling the CR-V plug-in hybrid at the show.
