The 2022 GMC Sierra is expected to get a refresh and now GMC has announced that it will also be the second truck in its lineup to get GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system.

The GMC Hummer EV will be the first to get the technology in the fall of 2021 and the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali will get it late in the 2022 model year. When it arrives it will introduce a new trailering feature that will allow for hands-free driving while towing a trailer. The Super Cruise system can be operated on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada. Drivers can also easily perform an automated lane change using the turn-signal stalk.

Super Cruise is also being added to several other GM vehicles, like the Cadillac CT4, CT5, XT6 and Escalade. The first Chevy to get the technology will be the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV.
