The 2022 Genesis G70 is getting a nice facelift, which borrows many styling cues from the new G80. In addition to the more stylish exterior, there’s also a new base engine, but sadly a manual transmission is off the options list.

At the front the 2022 G70 now has the brand’s crest grille and quad headlights, which brings it more in line with the 2020 G80 sedan and the GV80 SUV. At the rear the horizontal lights have a two-bar theme and there are new dual oval exhaust tips.

Under the hood the 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been replaced by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 290 horsepower. We’ll have to wait and see if the 3.3-liter V6 also gets replaced by the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that’s offered in the other Genesis models.

Inside the biggest update is a new 10.3-inch infotainment screen. The wireless charging pad has also been repositioned to fit larger phones.

The updated Genesis G70 is slated to go on sale in South Korea next month, but it’s not known when it will arrive in the US.
