The 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise kicks off this weekend and as the sponsor of the event, Ford has announced what it has planned for the weekend. The big news is that Ford plans to reveal a new production model on Thursday.

2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt

Ford hasn’t provided any hints at what the new production model will be that we get to see on Thursday, but it’s expected that it will be a new version of the Ford Mustang. If it is in fact a new Mustang, the debut will also coincide with the 20th anniversary of Mustang Alley, which Ford expects as many as 1,000 Mustangs will be lined up for nearly a mile on Saturday, August 18.

The 2019 Mustang Bullitt will also be part of the festivities, since the Mustang “JDRF” Bullitt, a one-off Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt will also debut before its raffled off in November to support juvenile diabetes research. On Saturday the 2019 Mustang Bullitt and historic Mustang Bullitt models will parade down Woodward Avenue.

Ford will also have the first Mustang ever sold, a 1964.5 Mustang, plus the 10-millionth Mustang displayed at Ford Media Club House.
