Ford has decided to add its FX4 off-road package to the 2020 Ford Expedition Limited for buyers that want the best of both worlds, a luxurious SUV that can also have some fun once the paved road ends.

2020 Ford Expedition Limited FX4

The 2020 Ford Expedition Limited FX4 adds 32-inch all-terrain tires that wrap 18-inch metallic gray-painted aluminum rims. It also gets off-road-tuned shocks and seven underbody skid plates, including a new sand shield to protect turbocharger intercoolers, steel plates to protect steering gear, engine, transmission and transfer case, and a full-length guard for the fuel tank. The chin spoiler underneath the front bumper has been shortened to improve approach angles. Lastly it gets chrome-plated running boards with angular step bars.

Under the hood you’ll find a 375-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed four-wheel-drive transfer case with neutral towing capability.

Inside the seats are wrapped in leather and there are wood accents to make it feel even more luxurious. Also a 360-degree camera system with split-view helps the driver and passengers keep an eye on the surrounding terrain.
