Ford has announced that it is now taking orders for the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt, which will arrive in showrooms this summer. The limited-edition 480-horsepower 2019 Mustang Bullitt was unveiled earlier this year and is inspired by the Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastback Steve McQueen drove in “Bullitt” 50 years ago.

The new Mustang Bullitt is powered by an upgraded version of the 5.0L V8 that delivers even more power, thanks to its performance open air intake, Mustang Shelby GT350 intake manifold, larger 87-millimeter throttle body and unique powertrain control module calibrations. The end result is 480 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque that gives the Mustang Bullitt a top speed of 163 mph – an 8 mph faster than the Mustang GT.

Buyers can choose from two colors: Shadow Black and Dark Highland Green. The 2019 Mustang Bullitt also gets subtle chrome accents for the unique black grille and front windows, classic torque-thrust 19-inch aluminum wheels and red-painted Brembo brakes. A fully active black NitroPlate quad-tip exhaust comes standard.

The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt starts at $46,595 plus the $900 destination fee.
