Ford hasn’t released the official production numbers for the 2012 Mustang Boss 302, but it looks like the information has leaked. A new book, titled, Boss Mustang: The Return of the Baddest Mustang of all Time is set to be released next April. Currently Borders has the listing for the book on their website and in the books description are details about the Boss 302.
According to the new book, the 2012 model year will be the first of two years that the model will be produced. Each year only 4,000 units will be produced, with 3,500 being street cars and the other 500 being “R” race cars.
The 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is powered by a 5.0L V8 that puts out 440 horsepower and 380 lb-ft. of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
