Fisker has officially released the name of its upcoming electric SUV, which is called the Ocean. Fisker has been teasing its new EV for a while now and although we still have to wait until January 4, 2020 to see it, we at least now know what it will be called.

The Fisker Ocean should have a driving range between 250-300 miles thanks to its 80 kWh battery, plus a solar panel on the roof will add about 1,000 miles of driving range a year. Inside the Ocean is packed with sustainable materials, like regenerated nylon carpeting that’s made from abandoned fishing net waste and eco-suede interior textures, which are made from recycled polyester fibers from old t-shirts and plastic bottles.

Fisker also says that it will repurpose the rubber waste that’s generated during tire production, but it doesn’t say what it will do with it.

Production of the Fisker Ocean is slated to begin production at the end of 2021, which means the first deliveries will happen in 2022.
