GMC will soon offer three electric vehicles, since it has released the first teaser of the electric Sierra Denali pickup, which will follow the Hummer EV pickup and Hummer EV SUV.
GMC says that the electric Sierra will only be available in the Denali trim level. As of right now we don’t know if it’s based on the current Sierra or a different platform. It’s cousin the Chevy Silverado is also getting an EV version, which we will get to see next month at CES.
“Sierra Denali holds tremendous equity for GMC and our customers,” said Duncan Aldred, GMC vice president. “We now have an opportunity to evolve Sierra’s capabilities and technologies, as afforded by transitioning to an all-electric propulsion while also elevating the luxurious design and comfort associated with Denali.”
The electric GMC Sierra Denali will debut at some point in 2022, but GMC has not announced when it will be available.
