Could General Motors be working on an electrified version of the Corvette? There’s no confirmation yet, but a new trademark filing may be a clue that something may be in the works. New trademark filings for the names “Corvette E-Ray” and “E-Ray,” could prove that GM is planning a hybrid or fully electric version of the Corvette.

The trademark filing was only filed less than a week ago and unfortunately we don’t have any other details, but it does appear that the model could be based on the Corvette Stingray with it s “E-Ray” name. Right now the filing could mean anything, since automakers have been known to file trademarks for lots of names that they never use.
