It’s officially the end of the line for the Dodge Viper, since Chrysler will end production of the Dodge Viper at its Conner Assembly Plant on August 31. Two years ago Chrysler revealed plans to end production of the slow selling Viper at its plant that employs more than 80 employees that build the Viper by hand.
Although Chrysler is going to close the Conner Assembly Plant after the last Viper rolls off the line, Chrysler expects to be able to relocate the 80 plus workers that will now be without a job.
The news of the last Viper shouldn’t be too surprising, since last year only 630 units were sold, which was down 8.7 percent from 2015.
