The Detroit News is reporting that Chrysler is going to extend the lives of the current Dodge Avenger, Grand Caravan and Jeep Wrangler. The new report is a big change from the earlier product plan.
It was expected that production of the current Avenger would end late this year or in early 2014 when the next Chrysler 200 sedan comes to life, but now the Avenger is going to stay around through 2015. The new 2015 Chrysler 200, which is going to debut in January is going to share its platform with the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee.

For a few years its been reported that Chrysler will eventually only offer one minivan, but no decision has been released if either the Chrysler Town & Country or Dodge Grand Caravan will live on. Either way it’s now being reported that the current Grand Caravan will live on through 2017, two years longer than originally planned.

The current Jeep Wrangler was scheduled for a refresh in 2016, but now the current model will continue through 2018.
